Performs post operative assessments, vital signs, administer medications,

provide incision/drain care, provide client/caregiver teachings, strategies and education to expedite recovery and self-sufficiency.

Besides privacy, clients and family members can have peace of mind knowing they are in the hands of a medical professional during their most vulnerable time after surgery. Should an emergency or complication occur, nurses are able to serve as front line emergency responders and provide on site medical interventions with direct orders from the physician. 

2 hours post op, for a 24 hour period. This will ensure that you have adequate training and education for self sufficiency AFTER your nurse leaves so that you can return to your daily routine as soon as possible.

No, we do not provide after hour care at this time. 

When the output from your JP drain is less than 25ml per DAY, & drainage is no longer red or pink tinged OR 2 weeks post op.

You MUST sleep in a recliner or reclined position for the first 3 weeks post op.

Hema - Plex, Liquid Iron, and/or beet juice are just a few recommendations. For rapid

increase in iron you can also get a Venofer infusion from your physician's office.

1 week post op

Most of the time, you will be wearing your faja, a robe, TED hose, front closing sports bra or loose fitting clothing to your comfort.
